Why I joined Emmes

During my interview it was obvious that Emmes was going to enable me to use my analytical skills as well as my science background. The culture of work/life balance was also apparent and that was an essential value for me.

How I describe our firm to other people

A CRO that provides scientific, statistical and operational support with the goal of improving human health. Emmes is supportive of professional development which distinguishes it from other CROs.

A bit about me

I have an educational background in nutrition and exercise physiology, so I am a firm believer that a healthy diet and exercise are critical components to overall health. I am a rabid Washington Nationals fan and I watch or attend most of their games.

How I chose my career

I am a curious person and love science and critical thinking. Clinical research is a perfect fit for me.

The best part about working here

The people and the culture emulated by senior leadership.

My background

After I finished my master’s degree, I worked as a dietitian in various teaching hospitals which provided me with clinical experience. Prior to joining Emmes in 2007, I worked as a research coordinator and site manager at a clinical site focusing on diabetes and obesity.
