Why I joined Emmes

I liked what I’d heard about the company, and I liked the fact that it was a strong player in a niche market. I was impressed with the intense focus on quality and service.

How I describe our firm to other people

It’s a collaborative environment with really sharp people who have built long-lasting relationships with clients. We’re a company that encourages new ideas and learning. You’ll have opportunities to grow your career, have new experiences, and contribute to our public health mission.

A bit about me

I have four wonderful kids, and that means I stay busy – supporting schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and spur-of-the-moment day trips to various locations. I enjoy going to the boxing gym with my wife, reading books and watching movies. I’m also a huge baseball fan!

Something I’m most proud of

I’m really proud to work for a company that considers its clients partners. That’s consistent with the principles that have guided me in my career; I strive to be a financial partner with folks throughout the organization, providing the right data and tools to help our internal teams do their jobs and inform their decisions.

The best part about working here

First, the long-lasting client relationships stem from the company’s emphasis on quality and attention to detail. We are seen as a trusted research partner. Second, we have exceptional leaders. They are forward-thinking, and they continue to develop an organization with the tools and processes that keep us centered our clients and generating sustainable growth.

My background

My first job out of college was as a senior accountant for a fire protection company. Since that first job, I’ve been in a financial leadership role for over 12 years and a licensed CPA since 2008. My experience has been with both private and publicly traded companies in the aerospace, international development, and now clinical research sectors.
