Objective

The mission of the PediIBD Consortium is to establish a multicenter, cooperative platform that enables every child with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, or indeterminate colitis) to become part of a research consortium/database which will provide an in-depth understanding of the epidemiology (incidence and prevalence), natural history/outcome and management of these common human conditions with significant health care impact. The database is a hypothesis-generating platform that will facilitate further scientific investigation into the leading causes of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease and related areas of interest such as quality of life and growth.

Population

Individuals with early-onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (i.e., diagnosed before the age of 18). Subjects must be consented prior to the age of 25.
